Today I’m featuring a cooking theme party that was submitted by my special customer, Brenda! She says, “My son Stavros’ favorite thing is cooking, so naturally that was the theme for his third birthday party! We held the party at a local restaurant, where the owner was incredibly accommodating.”
To create Stavros’ party table, Brenda hung paper chef hats that she accented with color-coordinated ribbons. The backdrop is actually a re-purposed shower curtain from Urban Outfitters! The multi-colored bunting was made from digital paper by Lane and May Studio. The personalized printable banner is available here.
Brenda says, “The invitations were hand-delivered on cutting boards with a blank recipe card inside for the kids to bring to the party, filled out with their favorite recipe to share with Stavros!” A personalized sticker was used to seal each envelope, and a teal ribbon was the finishing touch.
I love the mix of patterns used for the table, and the fresh red, aqua, and white color scheme!
The chevron treat bags and twine were from Sofie’s Big Day, and the personalized stickers on the bags are from Chickabug.
Brenda took a special birthday picture of Stavros that she displayed at the party (on the left). In it, he’s wearing a personalized chef hat and chef coat from Sugarfoot Boutique. The personalized water labels (on the right) are from Chickabug.
How cool are these treat cones! They’re homemade using patterned digital paper from Lane and May Studio. The fork, knife and spoon were stamped on the inside of each cone using a hand-carved stamp from Brown Pigeon.
A personalized printable sign welcomes the little chefs to the birthday boy’s Café (actually the restaurant, of course)!
These mustaches crack me up! They were purchased on Amazon. Stavros is also wearing a personalized birthday t-shirt from PersonaliTEE Shop, a personalized apron from SewByL, and his personalized chef hat from Sugarfoot Boutique.
The stickers on the kids’ aprons are the large size sticker available at Chickabug.
Brenda says, “I set up a pizza station where the kids rolled out their own pizza dough, then put on the sauce and their preferred toppings. I absolutely loved this part… and so did the kids! Later, when we sat down for our formal dinner, the kids thought we were eating the pizzas they ‘made,’ but they were actually from the restaurant. We felt it was best to leave the real cooking to the chefs in the kitchen!”
“The kids also got to decorate their chef hats and aprons with fabric paint and fabric markers! I set up a station that was just for decorating and the kids were good to go!”
Brenda says, “After eating birthday cake, the kids decorated their cupcakes with Stavros’ favorite – M&M’s. Since they just had cake, the kids got to wrap up their cupcakes to take home and enjoy later. Stav’s favorite part of the evening was decorating his cupcake!”
Brenda was very generous with her favors! She says, ”The main party favor was the ‘Kids in the Kitchen Book and Kit’ by Micah Pulleyn and Sarah Bracken. The kids also got cookie cutters which were put in chevron treat bags, theme-coordinated candies inside personalized muslin bags, milk chocolate lollipop mustaches, white chocolate lollipop chef hats, a chocolate dipped marshmallow pop with a chef holder, a personalized ABC cook book with a personalized book plate inside, coloring pages and a personalized water bottle. A lot of details and a lot of fun!”
The fork, knife, and spoon prints shown in the backdrop were made using a free printable from The Graphics Fairy.
The personalized muslin bags are by Little Chicklets, and the favor tags are a personalized printable from Chickabug.
The chef hat and mustache pops were homemade using molds found on Amazon.
The printable “ABC Cookbook for Kids” is from Family Time Designs on Etsy. The colors of the “ABC” were customized to match the theme.
All of the little chefs – and their parents – had a wonderful time!
Thank you so much for sharing, Brenda! Happy 3rd birthday to Stavros! : )
